Lush Cosmetics haul ❤️

Well hello to you my reader chums! With the winter chills still amongst us in the UK, it's the perfect opportunity to buy a couple of Lush bits, adding to my ever-growing collection. I picked up a few golden oldies and some new items to try out; let's take a look.

Here's an overview of my Lush Cosmetics haul:

Cupcake lush cosmetics face mask review

Cupcake fresh face mask

Lush's face masks are truly worth the hype. My go to is their famous 'Brazened Honey' which I purchase over and over again. I wanted to dabble into their other options and chose the delicious 'Cupcake' mask. I've seen this raved a lot about across the beauty community and couldn't wait to give it a go. As its targeted towards oily skin and breakouts, I thought it would do the trick with my t-zone area. It holds a lingering cocoa scent which is dreamy to say the least when you apply it onto the skin.

Lover Lamp lush cosmetics bath bomb

Lover Lamp bath bomb

I've had this bath bomb once before and loved the creamy texture of the hearts that lay in the water when the bath bomb has dissolved. It may not be the craziest looking bath water colour once used, however the scent is irresistible. If you're a big fan of Dragon's Egg, this bath bomb is very similar with a citrus based, sweet scent.
Avobath Lush cosmetics bath bomb

Avobath bath bomb

This Lush classic, green based bomb always reminds me of the musical Wicked. It creates a tub full of light/emerald green water and holds a slightly muskier, citrus scent than Lover Lamp. With the delicious scent, Avobath is certainly one of their more underrated bath bombs.

Elsie the Giraffe lush cosmetics bubble bar

Elsie the Giraffe bubble bar

A new purchase and release of Lush, Elsie the Giraffe was too adorable to leave in store. I have to admit, I love the design of this because not only is it super sweet but very practical for usage. As there's a stick between both parts of the product, you can break off the first section for one bath and then the other end second time around. The stick will also help to crumble the product underwater without getting the other section wet. I'd describe the scent as overwhelmingly lemon based with a sweetness running through, I can't wait to give it a try.

Sunnyside lush cosmetics bubble bar

Sunnyside bubble bar

My favourite bubble bar, Sunnyside is the crazy, glitter version of the Dragon's Egg bath bomb when dissolved in water. Its yellow colour mixture looks as if a sparkly golf mine has exploded - so if you don't like glitter, this isn't for you. The soothing scent is quite subtle and floral with an underlying sweetness to it. To top that, when crumbled under hot running water, this product creates the best bubbles. Be prepared for a glittery, bubbly heaven with Sunnyside.

I hope you enjoyed my Lush Cosmetics haul. What's your favourite product?

Lush haul ❤️

Well hello to you my reader chums! Like many other beauty bloggers, I have a major Lush obsession. There's nothing more relaxing after a stressful working week than popping one of their products in the bath to fully indulge and unwind. I hadn't visited a Lush store for a while and as I was in Bluewater the other day, I decided to restock, picking up a selection of my favourite items. Surprisingly, I didn't go super Lush crazy even though if  I had the chance, I could easily have bought the entire store!

Here's the five products I got:

Lush cosmetics haul

Dragon's egg bath bomb

Dragons Egg: The first bath bomb I had to pick up is my ultimate favourite, Dragon's Egg. I'm utterly addicted to it's the scent; the blend of citrus and sweet is completely delicious, I wish it came in a perfume! Once popped into the bath, the bomb oozes out orange goodness and bursts of various other bright colours. It's a surprise all in one and the beautiful scent lingers with you for absolutely ages; a must buy.

Sunny side bubble bar

Sunny Side bubble bar: I would describe the scent of this bubble bar as very similar to Dragon's Egg, yet slightly less citrusy and embracing the sweeter side more. For me, this is an indulgent product purely because of the colour and endless amount of glitter it contains. As it's a bubble bar, the idea is you break half off and run it under warm water - this in turn leaves you with a mass of foamy bubbles and thick gold water. One of my favourite features is certainly the glitter, the flecks are massive and you come out the bath glowing like a disco ball, who wouldn't love that?!

Twilight bath bomb

Twilight: Another one of my favourites, Twilight holds a sweet yet floral scent with a lingering hint of lavender taking centre stage. I love to use this on a night where I want to truly unwind as the subtly of the floral smell sends me into total calm mode. When placed in the water, this gem fizzes with a blend of pink and hidden bursts of blue which come through from the centre, turning the bath a gorgeous lilac shade. I love how creamy the texture is of this bath bomb when dissolved as it leaves the skin feeling incredibly soft.

Avobath bath bomb

Avobath: Every time I use this bath bomb, it will always remind me of the musical Wicked! Once dissolved, the bath is left a complete green colour, looking like the famous emerald city. The scent is on the sweeter side but unlike Dragon's Egg, it's quite a fresh and refreshing smell; not too intense.

Yoga bath bomb

Yoga bomb: Last but not least is this lovely orange number. The scent to this is slightly more musky than sweet and gentle, not overpowering at all. Named 'Yoga bomb' it's exactly what you'd expect, a bath product which holds a refreshing smell to fully unwind. The exterior is a bright orange but when positioned in the bath, the centre releases a gorgeous purple colour, leaving you with a blend of bold shades in your bath.

I hope you enjoyed this in depth Lush haul. What is your favourite Lush bath bomb?

Review: Lush cosmetics 'Yoga' bath bomb

Well hello to you my reader chums! With the cold winter chills amongst us, there's nothing better than coming home from work and indulging in a warm, comforting scented Lush bath to unwind. The one I chose the other day was the 'Yoga' bomb', a bath treat designed for pure relaxation! I picked this up initially because I fell in love with its scent and the description, how it's meant to be quite calming, something I certainly need after a long day.

As you can see from the image it's an orange coloured bomb which I must admit smells heavenly ( like all Lush products really). The scent is rather sweet, similar to parma violets with a slight citrusy smell too, yet overall not too overpowering.

Once dropped in, the bomb dissolves, oozing out a gorgeous, warm orange/ golden colour with flecks of glitter running through. It looked a lot like my absolute favourite bomb, Dragon's Egg which I would say hold a stronger, citrusy scent compared to the subtleness of this bomb.

After the majority has dispersed, slight specks of blue float through from the centre of the bomb, leaving an overall creamy, bright bath. I loved the finished look of this bath because for one it was incredibly welcoming to get into and also the blend of colours truly reminded me of summer time!

After soaking in this beautifully scented bath, your skin feels like an absolute dream, completely moisturised and covered in glitter of course! Not only does it feel wonderful, the subtle smell is best to unwind with as it's a really calming scent. I have to admit I spent an extra long time when using this bomb as it made me feel so at ease. I  will definitely have to pick up some more of these beauties in the future for evenings when I really need to escape from everything, enjoying some me time.

I hope you enjoyed this swift review. Have you tried the 'Yoga' bomb? What are your other Lush favourites?

Review: Lush's bath bomb 'Shoot for the Stars' ❤️

Well hello to you my reader chums! As the evenings have become darker and chillier, there's nothing better than coming home from work and unwinding in the bath. Lush bath bombs are my favourite kind of treat for these moments because with the wide variety available, the experience is made much more exciting. I own a vast collection of bath bombs (yes I'm a hoarder) and today I opted for 'Shoot for the Stars' as I've never tried it before.

When I first picked it up I loved the overall design. It included a blue background with a shooting star pattern spread across, amongst smaller yellow stars surrounding it.

Made up of such beautiful colours on the exterior, I was intrigued to see what was inside. After running my bath I popped it in and bursts of purple/blue spurted out. Tiny bursts of pink and yellow also soared through when the inner section unravelled.

Here are some motion shots below:

I was surprised to see not only an abundance of colour in the water but lots and lots of bubbles! Usually bubble bars are the products which produce millions of bubbles so I was very excited to see many appear as the bomb unfolded.
Once settled, the overall look reminded me of the night sky with blends of purple, blue shades and slight shimmer running though. It looked somewhat mystical and ever so pretty! Even though it had glitter shining within, it wasn't an overwhelming amount meaning you didn't get out of the bath sparkling!

The scent of the bath was incredibly calming and subtle, ideal for a truly relaxing experience. It's similar to parma violet sweets, only a tiny bit sweeter and not as strong. I really love how it wasn't too overpowering yet the scent still lingered during and after the bath.

I hope you enjoyed this short review. What's your favourite Lush bath bomb?

Lush bath bomb haul ❤️

Well hello to you my reader chums! With Autumn now upon us, there was no time like the present to head out to Lush and stock up on bath bombs. As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, I find the colder months are the perfect time to arrive home from work and enjoy a well deserved bath. The image of pouring rain outside the window whilst a running bath is filling up with Lush scented goodness is just a heavenly image. I picked up five bath bombs in total, some I've tried and others I haven't.

Here's a an overview of all the purchases:
You can probably tell I got a range of different scented ones to mix up my baths:
The first bath ballistic I picked up was 'Twilight.' I've used this one before and adored it. The description reads 'Run yourself the perfect temperature bath, get in and take a moment to let go of the world outside your bathroom before launching your ballistic into the water and watch it fizz away'
When placed into the water, the bomb bursts and initially creates a a layer of a lavender coloured water. Then the inside blue centre oozes out and it leaves the most gorgeous intertwined lavender and blue mix. I love the finishing effect and think as it's named 'Twilight', it's perfect for those cosier evenings among us, when the day turns dark quicker.
The scent I'd say is a blend between sweet and dusky where it contains a combination of essential oils and lavender, idyllic for a calming bath experience. Using these ingredients gives an overall fresh, floral type smell which is certainly addictive; I love it!
The next bath ballistic is my absolute favourite Lush product and it's 'Dragon's Egg'. The description says ''Run yourself the perfect temperature bath, get in and take a moment to let go of the world outside your bathroom before launching your ballistic into the water and watch it fizz away' (same as Twilight'. This one is my best friend's top bath bomb also because it just possess the most addictive scent! I cannot even express to you how good it smells, basically heaven wrapped into one. The overwhelming citrus scent is one that lingers throughout the room and in the water. I love to get one of these to simply store in my room as it leaves my bedroom smelling incredible. Once popped into the water, the ballistic bursts and gushes out a gorgeous orange colour, embracing that citrus theme. Combined with that is a layer of glowing glitter so after your bath not only do you smell great, you're like a sparkling star (okay maybe not literally but you get my gist).
The exterior is a simple cream, yet you're able to tell many surprises are in store when placed in the water due to the fantastic smell and subtle dots of shades on the outer layer. This is a bath bomb I'd definitely recommend to all, next time you're in lush grab one and enjoy the citrus, sweet goodness.
Another bath bomb is a new addition I haven't tried before, called the 'Yoga bomb'. The name suggests its designed for a completely calming bath experience where the description adds 'If you long for calm and contemplation, drop this layered bomb into the bath. As the mesmerising colours unfurl, olibanum and ho wood create an atmosphere of deep relaxation.' I think this bath bomb is an ideal option after a long stressful day where my anxiety is high because the elements within will help make a relaxing atmosphere to let my worries float away.
The scent of this bath bomb is quite a floral and dusky, not like a sweet smell of the two shown above. I like this because of it's different smell, where I'm able to use it on an evening to unwind given the elements it contains. Made up of oranges, purples and turquoise shades, once placed in the water it's known to gradually dissolve, releasing these stunning colours.
Moving onto bubble bars, the first one I chose was 'Sunnyside.' I've used this before and absolutely fell in love with the overall look it gave your bath as well as the lingering scent. The description says 'Crumble the bar under running water to bathe in wondrous liquid gold, scented with sweet wild orange and lemon oils to brighten the spirits.' As you can tell by the label, it's definitely a choice for a more luxurious bath. When crumbled under water the colour left is genuine gold where the water contains layers of glitter, leaving the appearance of your bath to be unclear. I love how the consistency is that glittery and creamy because it adds mystery, making the lasting effect as exciting as the sparkly design!
I'd say the scent is like a toned down version of 'Dragon's egg' because the citrus smell is still quite overwhelming and sweet just not as powerful, slightly subtler. For me this is perfect as I have the choice between using either or since they have similar scents.
The last product was the 'Creamy candy bath', bubble bar, one which I also haven't used before. The description reads 'Crumble the bar under the hot running tap, to allow the water to agitate mounds of bubbles for you with no effort on your part.' Compared to all the other bath items I purchased, this one is certainly the sweetest in scent. It smells similar to a candy shop or bubble gum, hence the name given.
As it's bright pink in colour, when crumbled under the water it's made to give a pretty pink colour filled with lots of bubbles for an ultra girly bath! This one is great for those who prefer sugary scents like the limited 'Snow fairy' shower gel at Christmas as the smell resembles that. I love the little detailing of the yellow flower on top because it adds a a cute touch to the overall look.

I hope you enjoyed this Lush haul! What's your favourite Lush bath bomb?
