Life's unexpected moments!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums! Hope you are all well and for all you English people, I hope you enjoy the little heatwave we have going on here!

Today, I thought I'd do a little post about my life instead of the usual beauty things, etc, etc. As you could tell by the title, don't you just love all those unexpected moments when your original plans don't go ahead?! Well, today, I planned to go to the cinema to see Monsters Inc University with my best friends, however, when we arrived, we realised it was sold out. Originally we were going to head to the beach when the film finished as we found out a few of our friends would be there. As a result of the film being sold out, we went to the beach!

MUA Lip tint and balm review!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums!

Haven't posted this week at all, ooops! I've decided to do a review on some of the products I recently received in my MUA goodie bag, they are the two chubby sticks/lip tints.

The colours I received are crazy in love and broken hearted.

Here are the swatches.

I'm in love with these lip tints, they have such a lovely feel when applied to the lips and are really moisturising. Both colours are very pigmented and would look good if you would like to go for a bold lip with more natural eyes.
Broken hearted on lips.

Crazy in love on lips.

These pictures don't do the balms justice as when they are applied to the lips they come up much darker, I would say broken hearted is more of a subtle everyday colour in comparison to crazy in love, yet I still love both colours! The consistency of the tints are quite watery and they do come off after an hour or so, but I think for the price they cost and for them just being tints and not stains, these really are good lip products! Perfect for summer! They're around £3 which is a bargain in my opinion, would definitely go out and re-purchase these!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! I just started an instagram because I recieved my new phone so if you would like to follow its: dellaaaaxx

Room by Emma Donoghue book review!

Well hello to you my fellow book loving chums!

Apologies for the lack of blogs! Today I thought I'd do a book review on a recent book that I have read, its called Room.

Room is written from a child's perspective, whose name is Jack. As its from his view the sentences aren't grammatically correct at times and the objects are personified, which I found intriguing in the novel as its an unusual writing style. The use of a child's perspective helps give an insight of a child's way of seeing things and helps explain the situation better in my opinion. This view makes the novel, it really helps build your imagination by imagining how Jack sees this room, the room his been living in his whole life. It makes you feel the emotion and torment between the characters and really feel their fear.

Room is definitely one of those novels that you have to keep reading and reading to find out what happens next. The author has written it so it keeps the reader interested and leaves them in suspense in what happens, which really builds the tension and adds a dramatic aspect. The book also has a really emotional side and makes your heart break at times with what the characters go through, it gives you a real awareness in what happens in kidnapping cases which really appealed to me because its not one of those things you encounter on a day to day basis.

This book is a definite recommend, it really keeps you on your toes and wondering what happens next. The relationship between Ma and Jack is so loving, that you'll want to go and help them yourself. Its one of those novels that really draw you in and pull on the heart strings! I'd give it five stars, if your interested in tales from a child perspective or emotional/dramatic novels this book is for you!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! <3

Whether you're in need of a new hair mask or the best lilac nail polish, here are my June beauty favourites.

June favourites

MUA blush

MUA blush in shade 1

This month this has definitely been part of my everyday look, it's such a light colour, which gives a lovely glow to the cheekbones because even though the product is quite pigmented when blended in it looks quite subtle.

Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner

Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner

I love this liner, it's so easy to work with and easy to glide on for the perfect wing look. I've used this every day for a while now and it's such a bargain, think it only cost me £3!

Garnier moisturiser

Garnier Moisture Match Moisturiser

I really love this moisturiser, it makes the skin feel really nourished and refreshed, if you want to check out my full review on it you can here.

Barrym nail polish

Barry M's in the shade 'berry'

It's such a lovely pastel colour for this time of year and really gets me in the summery mood!

Herbal essences hair mask

My favourite hair care product this month is the herbal essences hello hydration hair mask. The mask leaves my hair feeling softer and more hydrated as it says, it has a lovely smell and texture!

Body shop butter

My last product is lip butter I purchased from the body shop. I actually fell in love with this, it has the yummiest smell just like chocolate biscuits! Every time I use it, my lips feel so much softer, a definite recommendation! I'm a huge fan of the body shop and this totally lived up to my expectations and for £4 where can you go wrong?
