Review: Lush Cosmetics bath melt 'Star light star bright'

Well hello to you my reader chums! Today I've got a little review for you on one of Lush Cosmetics bath melts 'Star light, star bright.

Lush Cosmetics bath melt 'Star light star bright'

Look and the scent of the bath melt

The first thing that brought me to this bath melt was its appearance. It's really cute and Christmassy, like a Christmas star on top of the tree. When I picked it up to smell it,  this bath melt had the most beautiful scent. I'm not even sure how to explain it, the scent was very sweet, light and refreshing, it wasn't too overpowering as some lush products can be. It was very similar to the Golden Egg bath bomb which was around at Easter time which I absolutely adored.

Once you run it under the tap and the silver glittery layer comes off, you're left with a creamy star with a blue glittery cube in the middle which eventually melts down and helps leave the bath in this amazing Cinderella blue colour as I like to explain it.

The bath itself was oh so relaxing, with the lovely scent and it being glittery, its the perfect Princess bath, something needed after a long week of work! Whilst sitting in the bath, it felt like luxury and really felt like its giving the skin that kick of moisture. After I came out the bath, my skin felt ultra soft and I was covered in glitter. If you're somebody who loves glitter and sweet scents this bath melt is the one for you! I'm definitely going to repurchase it as its ideal for a pamper evening and I'm literally obsessed with the scent!

Current favourites ❤

Well hello to you my reader chums! Today I thought I'd tell you about all the things I'm loving lately. Its obviously a bit too late to do a September favourites as we're nearing the end of October which is a crazy, its literally gone too fast! Therefore, I'm going to show you the things I've been reaching for and enjoying over these past two months.

Here's all the items:

The first product I'm going to tell you about is this Herbal Essences beautiful ends hair mask. This hair mask is specifically designed for split ends, and as I use heat quite a lot on my hair, I needed a something that was going to re-boot it and help the ends. I did get a trim which made it feel much healthier but I wanted to have a product which keeps it in a healthy condition. This mask has done wonders for my hair! Every time I use it, my hair feels silky, soft and appears in a lovely condition, especially the ends. I use it about twice a week to give my hair the little help it needs! It has such a beautiful scent as well, a scent that reminds me of all the products they use at the hairdressers  if you get what I mean, its like a little treat on your hair, ahh I love it. Would totally recommend this mask to anyone who needs that bit of oomph to re-vamp the ends and add the shine/healthiness back to their hair.

The next product is from the Zoella beauty range and its the 'Soak opera'. Its designed for the bath or the shower and I've been using it as a shower cream. The thing I love most about this is the scent, like all of Zoe's range. It has a very similar scent to Daisy just not as sweet and has kind of a luxury feel, which I adore! It lathers up pretty well and as you get a lot of product in the bottle, I can tell it's going to last me a good while.

Another thing I've been loving which isn't to do with beauty, is this book called 'The twins' by Saskia Sarginson. I started to read this quite recently and I was hooked straight away, its such an insightful novel! I'm only half way in and I can't wait to see whats to come! As I'm a twin myself, it nice to read books to do with twins because it something I can relate to. For all you bookworms reading, I'd definitely check this one out.

A makeup brush I've been obsessed with lately is the Real techniques angled shadow brush from Nic's picks. I bought this set rather recently and have already got a lot of use out of it especially this brush. It is the softest brush ever and is just perfect for blending out eye shadows! I love how easy it is to blend with and the finish it helps achieve.
Another makeup product is this master precise eye liner by Maybelline. The thing I love about this eye liner is how easy it is to use and the amount of product given off. The pen is quite wet and gives off the ideal amount of product in order to make a defined clear wing.
The last makeup item is Rimmel lipstick from Kate's range in shade 107. I'm in love with this shade, it is the perfect berry/burgundy and I've been wearing it a lot recently. I like to wear it out on weekends, its such an autumnal colour and finishes the whole outfit off! It has a good lasting power and moisturises the lips as well. I find with some lipsticks they dry the lips out but not this one, its so creamy and pigmented!

Those were all  my current favourite's, I do hope you enjoyed! Can't believe I'm nearly at 200 followers!

Autumn shopping trip haul

Well hello to you my reader chums! There's nothing better than a shopping day with your best friend and today was just that. If you're into autumn fashion and love a haul, here is my autumn shopping trip haul.

Beauty picks

Onto the haul, the first shop we stopped at was Superdrug and the first thing I picked up was this Makeup revolution neutrals palette. I've been wanting to try this brand for a while now because of all the amazing reviews I've heard, however its not stocked in my local Superdrug. Therefore, we were two pretty happy girls when we saw this stand! I chose 'Redemption palette iconic 3' because I loved the selection of colours as it had a range of pinky and brown toned colours, both of which are my favourite to wear. It was only £4, got to love a good bargain!

The next thing I picked was this 'Master precise' liquid eyeliner by 'Maybelline' because before we got there my eyes had watered and one of my wings had slightly come off so I decided to buy this to top that up and to give me the chance to try out another eyeliner. I found it lasted rather long and was easy to apply, the best features in an eyeliner! This cost £5.99.

Another item I bought was a Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade '107'. On one of my previous posts I asked for some darker lipstick recommendations and I got a comment suggesting this one so I thought I'd give it a try! Its a gorgeous burgundy shade and I think its going to come into a lot of use this season.

One of the bigger purchases I made was The 'Nic Picks' real technique brush set. I remember wanting these last year when they first came out but they were limited edition and I never got my hands on them. However I saw them in Superdrug and thought I'll treat myself to a couple of new brushes! They were £19.99 and I can't wait to begin using them.

The last thing I bought in Superdrug was the Zoella beauty candle. When the range came out I wanted to buy the whole range yet everything but the candle was sold out, I then went ahead and bought all the range besides the candle on 'Feelunique', I got a bit over excited! Zoe is a big inspiration to me and I'm so proud of all she's achieved! Therefore, when I saw this in Superdug I had to pick it up and now my collection is complete!

The last makeup item I bought was in Boots, a clear brow gel by Rimmel. I've been wanting something like this for a while to keep the hairs in place. It only costs £3.99 which is a total bargain.

Another shop we popped into was Lush which was one of the shops we spent a good while in smelling all the different bath bombs and products. I didn't want to go crazy in there as I recently just purchases loads of Zoella Beauty products and so only picked up one thing. I chose the 'Star light, star bright' bath melt. It has the most beautiful sweet smell that I literally adore! It looks like a shimmery silver star and is extremely glittery, but hey who doesn't love a sparkly bath?! I can't wait to have a pamper evening and pop this beauty in the bath.

Clothing items

What's a shopping trip without Primark? As you can tell another shop we spent a while in! Surprisingly I only found a few bits (and yes they are all monochrome) however they are real little gems which I fell in love with. The first thing I bought was this long, bulky black and white cardigan. This is honestly one of my favourite purchases, its very comfy, cute and its monochrome, all the best things! I think its going to be a staple in my wardrobe because of it being a neutral colour, it's very versatile and can go with many things. I think it was around the £14 mark.

The next item I purchased was this light grey jumper with an adorable cream collar. If you know me, you'd know I have a huge obsession with all things collars and many things in my wardrobe do have a collar! I thought again this is quite a versatile piece because of the colour and you can wear it quite casually or dress it up. Its made of snugly, comfy material too and would be ideal for a lazy, chill day. This was about £12.

The last item I bought from Primark was this monochrome dress. I loved the detailing on this dress especially the sleeves. However when I tried it on, the shape didn't really suit me. I decided to tuck the dress into my jeans to see what it looked like and I much preferred it as a top. I chose to buy it and work my sewing magic and turned it into a top. When it was complete, I was really happy with the finished product! This cost me £13 and it was such a good investment as I'm literally in love with this top!

The last thing I picked up were these jeans from New Look. I always buy my jeans from New Look as they've never let me down and last for such a long time! These are just a basic super skinny navy coloured pair which cost £19.99.

Casual and cosy autumn inspired outfit

Well hello to you my reader chums! As I said in my previous blog I was going to post an autumn-inspired outfit. Usually, when it turns into autumn, I tend to grab for the darker colours in my wardrobe such as burgundy, navy, monochrome etc, however, I wanted to opt for a pop of colour to add a different flair to a typical 'autumnal look'. I chose this lovely lilac jumper and cream collared top to give the outfit a pastel-coloured edge, paired with navy high waisted jeans and brown Chelsea boots.

Autumn inspired outfit

I love how this outfit looks together, it adds an essence of spring and light to this time of year and is still super cosy! Having lighter colour jumpers also helps me step away from wearing too much black and white, especially in autumn time. If you want to see the prices of some of the items, most are featured in this recent autumn haul.

I hope you enjoyed this little post on an autumn outfit. I've worn it a couple of times recently. I think its a nice casual outfit yet I'm sure by adding a necklace and some heeled boots or a bold lip, you can easily dress up this look!
