Autumn inspired makeup look: Bronzy eyes and a red lip

Well hello to you my reader chums! As we're now in autumn, its the time to bring out those darker lips and darker eye makeup! Today I'm going to show you my spin on an autumnal makeup look, I hope you like it!
This is the look:

All the products used:

For my base, I kept it the same as my everyday makeup because even though coming into autumn/winter people usually go for heavier makeup in comparison to summer, I always prefer a lighter base. I concealed my under eyes and any blemishes with the Collection 'lasting perefection' concealer then buffed in Maybelline's BB cream all over my face for some added coverage. To mattify the skin I used my favourite powder, Rimmel's 'Stay matte' and then for contour, highlight and blush, I used the sleek face form kit in 'light'.

Onto eyes, to prime them I used the Urban Decay primer potion. The two palettes I used in this look were 'Smoked' by Urban Decay and 'Undress me' by MUA.  To go all over the lid, I applied 'Shade 7' from the MUA palette and for some definition, I packed the shade 'Backdoor' from the Urban Decay palette on the outer corner of my eyes and blended it out.

For eye liner and mascara, I used my favourite duo at the moment which is the L'oreal super liner and Rimmel's 'Wonder'full' mascara. I lined the upper lash line with a medium sized line and winged it out for some added definition, then curled my lashes and applied a few coats of mascara.

Close up of the eyes:

Once the base and eyes are complete its time for the lips which is my favourite part of this look!  I wanted more red and darker lips for this season and picked this lipstick up recently. I'm in love with this colour and thought it would look beautiful paired with bronzy eyes and winged liner. This is from the Rimmel's Kate Moss line in shade 01.

Here's another few pictures of the final look:

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this makeup look! I think the bronzy eyes really compliment the red lips nicely and I'm going to get a lot of use out of this look in the next few weeks. I'm on the hunt for more darker lipsticks such as berry tones so if any of you have any recommendations, I'd be really happy if you left them below :)
As I've recently put up a autumn haul, later this week I'm going to put an autumn inspired OOTD featuring some of those clothes, therefore keep you eyes peeled for that! <3

Autumn clothing and beauty haul

Well hello to you my reader chums and long time no see! Everything has been a bit hectic lately with me settling into my new job and with lots of different events I've had with friends, which hasn't given me the time to sit down and write a blog post. However, since it's now getting into autumn all the autumn fashion is in and I decided to do a big shop and get my autumn wardrobe started.

New Look

The first place I went into was New Look, this shop is honestly one of my favourites, I'm not even kidding when I say the majority of my wardrobe is from there! I have a huge love for Chelsea boots and since I have got so much use out of my black pair, I thought I'd pick up a brown pair for £24.99. I'm in love with these and cannot wait to start putting outfits together with them! They are the perfect addition to my autumn wardrobe as I don't have any brown boots and they're super comfy too.

The other thing I picked up from New Look was these high-waisted navy jeans. I've been needing a new pair of jeans for a while now and thought instead of just a regular pair, I'd choose a high-waisted pair as I've always loved the look of high-waisted things, I've just never got around to buying any. They cost £22.99 and are the comfiest pair of jeans I've ever worn! If I wore the boots and jeans together I'll be very comfy.

Primark

The next shop I went to was Primark, what's a shopping trip without a little Primark spend? The first thing I picked up was this beautiful pink, white and black long-sleeved black collared top. I thought this top would be really versatile because it's rather sophisticated and cute so I could wear it to work, or dress it up with a necklace, skirt, and heels for a party and even dress it down with a pair of jeans. It only cost £9 which is a total bargain.

Collared long sleeved shirt

The next thing I picked up was this lovely pale blue jumper. I fell in love with this colour and it was really comfy to wear. One of my favourite things, when it gets a bit colder, is the snuggly jumpers and I'm so happy to have this addition to my jumper collection. I think I could either wear a collared top and a necklace with this to make it look a bit smarter or on a chill day wear it with some leggings. It's also lovely to add a bit of colour to an autumn wardrobe because I find when it comes to autumn/winter, people begin to wear darker clothes so a nice pop of pastel will be cute at this time of year!  This cost me £8.

The next item I picked up was this burgundy satchel. To me, burgundy is one of the colours that screams autumn. Its the perfect medium size meaning its good for fitting everything in but isn't too big that you have to lug it around. It only cost me £8 too which was a total bargain.

Another thing I bought was yes again some more Chelsea boots haha! I've been on the hunt for some heels but after a few shopping trips, I was unable to find any which I liked or suited me. Beforehand when I was in New Look I saw some boots identical to these and they were £30, as much as I loved them I was like you just bought some Chelsea boots.

However, after then not finding any heels and coming into Primark and seeing these for half the price for £15, I decided to pick them up! They have a good size heel on them and are much more comfortable to walk in at a party than if I bought some actual heels. To cut a long story short, they're comfy and I reckon I'm going to get a lot of use out of them in the upcoming months.

The last clothing item from Primark was this tartan scarf. Something this year I really wanted as an addition to my autumn wardrobe was a tartan scarf, I was on the hunt for a while and good old Primark saved the day! This only cost me £6 and feels like such lovely quality as it's really thick and warm!

Topshop

The next item I bought was from Topshop and it's probably one of my favourite purchases. It's this beautiful lilac crop jumper. I love it to pieces, it's really comfy, warm, and of such good quality. It cost me £28 so a lot more than my Primark jumper but it was totally worth it. You can see I'm building myself up a little pastel jumper collection. As it's cropped I think it's going to be perfect to layer with and it would pair lovely with those jeans I previously showed you. It's a little splurge but it's my favourite colour and I just love it.

Beauty products

Now onto beauty bits, I only got a couple of things as I was mainly in a clothes shop. As BarryM released their autumn nail collection recently, I thought I would pick up two of the colours as they're such beautiful shades and in Boots they had a buy one get one half price offer which is always a bonus. I chose the shades 'Chilli' and 'Mustard'.

The last item I picked up was Rimmel's Kate lipstick in shade 1. I was on the lookout for a lovely red lipstick and as I've heard some amazing reviews from this range I decided to pick it up and give it a go. I thought as it's getting into autumn too that a its time to start wearing darker lipsticks and this would be perfect.

Thank you for reading this haul, I hope you liked all the items I picked up and enjoyed this post! <3

August beauty favourites

Well hello to you my reader chums! Summer is nearly over and that means looking back at the items that I've been loving. August is always an exciting month and here are all the beauty products I've been loving.

Simple facial wash

Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial Wash

As I'd been using the same face wash for a while I wanted to test out a new one so decided to pick up this one from Simple. I always hear amazing reviews on Simple products because of how natural they are and the inexpensive price tag. I wasn't disappointed with this face wash at all. When I first used it my skin felt instantly fresh and clean. It's such a light face wash but feels like it's doing the job and leaves my skin feeling silky soft.

The smell is very natural and not over perfumed, meaning you know you're not putting loads of chemicals onto the skin. I honestly love this and would definitely recommend it to someone who's looking for a new face wash!

Real Technique buffer brush

Real Techniques Buffing Brush

I've had this brush for a while now and it's one of my favourite brushes. Throughout August as there were some hotter days, I've been using BB cream a lot. As I've been wearing this, I've found this brush has been amazing to work the BB cream into the skin to achieve a natural look.

Also on nights out when I wear foundation, it's lovely to help blend it in! I just love the finish it helps the face products give. It's quite a dense brush which I think helps build up the coverage because more product can sit on the brush and therefore give fuller coverage if that's what you'd prefer. However I like light coverage looks and as the brush blends products really easily, I find it's versatile for all types of looks!

Boots lip balms

This month out of the set I've especially been loving this one to apply before bed as it has the loveliest berry smell and is super moisturising!

L'oreal Super Liner in black

L'oreal's Super Liner in Intense Black

I picked this up at the end of June which you can see in my birthday haul here. I love this liner, the super-thin nib means you are able to create a thin line if you want a bit of definition yet you can still build it up to a full-on winged liner look.

The thin nib also allows you to create a wing much easier because you can draw the outline and fill it in. The liner keeps true to its name as it's completely black and does stay put on the eye for a good amount of time. I'm definitely going to pick it up again!

Wonderfull mascara by Rimmel

Wonderfull Mascara by Rimmel

This mascara is quite new out and I picked it up at the beginning of August to see what it's like. I absolutely love it. At first, I wasn't too sure but after using it for a couple of days and getting used to the wand, I adore it.

The mascara is very light weight on the lashes so when it's on it doesn't feel too heavy. It really gives my lashes length, curl and volume which is usually quite a difficult task as I have really annoying lashes that seem to never curl. However this product has really made them look amazing! The mascara also contains argan oil, allowing the mascara to care for the lashes as well as them looking good. I cannot rave about this enough, my best friend even complimented my lashes yesterday when I was wearing this. If you're looking for a new mascara I'd give this one a whirl to see how you like it because its worked wonders for me.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed ❤
