Harry Potter Studios London tour

Well hello to you my reader chums! The Friday went my friends and I went to Harry Potter Studios in London. It was such a magical day seeing all the props and sets they used as well as learning the secrets to how the films were made! I literally went around and took photos of everything! My friends and I even got to ride a broomstick and use a green screen to show we were riding the car. It was honestly such a fun day and I feel so lucky I got to go.

If you're a huge Harry Potter fan, the London studios tour is for you, and here is my experience at Harry Potter Studios Tour.

I tried butterbeer and it was delicious, it tasted like cream soda with a butterscotch flavour. I'd highly recommend trying it on your tour to get a true flavour of the books.

Out of the whole tour, this part was the most magical, seeing the Hogwarts model at the end. It's so beautiful, especially under the gleaming lights.

Ombré hair care routine

Well hello to you my reader chums! Recently I ombréd my hair again and as this essentially means bleaching the ends of your hair, it's vital to use the right products to take care of your hair.

If you've recently ombréd your hair or looking for the right products to care for your hair, here is my ombré hair care routine.

Ombré hair care routine and products

Ombré hair care shampoo

Shampoo and conditioner for ombré hair

The first thing I use is the 'Bee Strong' shampoo and conditioner. I've been using and repurchasing this for a while, it has the loveliest smell and as it's aimed to strengthen hair is perfect for somebody who has damaged their hair in some form such as ombréing. Both of these products leave my hair feeling soft and looking healthier.

John Frieda purple shampoo

Purple shampoo by John Freida

If you have ombréd or dyed your hair blonde all over, it's necessary to use a purple shampoo because it helps get rid of the brassy tones and bring out the blonde colour. I use this between my shampoo and conditioner and apply it on the blonde part at the bottom of my hair. I leave it on for 3-5 minutes to give it chance to do its job and wash it out. Once washed out, it honestly makes such a difference, resulting in the blonde being more true to its colour and making it more noticeable. I put this on once or twice a week.

Strengthening mask by Herbal Essences 'Bee Strong' range

Strengthening mask by Herbal Essences 'Bee Strong' range

I'm in love with this and featured it in my latest favourites post which you can check out here. The consistency of the mask is rich and creamy and feels like luxury when applied to the hair. I usually leave it on between 3-5 minutes, then rinse it out and it leaves my hair feeling so silky. I would definitely recommend some type of hair mask to use once or twice a week if you have ombréd hair.

Argan oil

Argan Oil

Once I've towel dried my hair I take a small amount of argan oil in the palm of my hand and run it through the bottoms of my hair. Then when my hair is dried, it leaves the ends feeling smoother. Argan oil also smells amazing, which is a bonus!

Keratin Smooth heat defence spray

Keratin Smooth heat defence spray
When my hair is dry and if I apply heat, I always use a heat defence like this one keratin smooth by Tresemme. It's vital to use some form of heat protectant because by ombréing your hair you've already damaged it and don't want to add extra damage by adding heat, therefore a heat defence is necessary. Even if you've not dyed your hair you should always use some form of a heat defence because over time heat damages the hair and thins it out. I love this one in particular because it has such a nice smell and it does the job which is something needed in a heat protectant.

Those were all the products I like to use on my hair, I hope you enjoyed it!

Leavers ball

Well hello to you my reader chums! Today I'd thought I'd share with you some of the pictures from my leavers' ball. Leavers Ball was last Thursday held at a beautiful venue, everyone had such an amazing time and I'm so happy to of shared it with many fantastic people! It was a great end to the seven years I've spent at the school and the 2 years I've spent in sixth form with all these people.

When the girls and I arrived there was a red carpet outside and the guests looked all glammed up in their stunning dresses/suits! Before we went in, we all had the chance to talk and take photos outside of the venue on the carpet. Then everybody bought some drinks and went into the main hall where the dinner was held. The decoration was beautiful, it looked like a wedding! I was honestly so amazed with how everything turned out.

The dinner went ahead where we had a three course meal, followed by an award ceremony. There were funny and special awards where my twin won 'best smile', I was really happy for her! On our tables we were all given our own personal certificate and I got 'Diva' as all the dance girls call me 'Diva Della'. Our head of sixth form also made us an individual cupcake with our initials on which was super cute and scrumptious! After all this the party began and everybody danced the night away! It was such a special night, one which I'll remember forever. I'm really happy I got to arrive there with my girls, they mean the world to me, here are some pictures we took beforehand.

Sixth form ball was one exciting and memorable night, and here is my full experience of leaver's ball.

I honestly can't believe school is now officially over, through those seven years there, I've gained and lost friends but the important ones have stuck with me and I'm excited about what the future brings for us all. These seven years, I've grown and found myself, it has been such a learning curve where many amazing memories have been made!

May/June favourites

Well hello to you my reader chums! Through May and June, there are so many different products I've discovered and loved. If you're searching for a BB cream or brilliant hair mask, here are my May and June favourites.

May/June beauty favourites

Maybelline's BB cream

Maybelline's BB cream

The first product which I'm pretty sure I've talked about before in favourites post and used in tutorials is this Maybelline BB cream. I've been using this BB cream a lot lately because it contains SPF which will help protect my skin from the sun. Usually, I only wear concealer and powder for coverage, however now it's summer and the weather is warmer, I've turned to this product frequently as part of my base makeup. The product itself is extremely light yet gives a lovely radiant glow to the skin, making it perfect for a dewy look. I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to try out a new BB cream.

Liquid eyeliner by Collection

The next product is a felt tip liner by collection. I used to use this liner all the time when I first got into winged liner but then went and tried out different liners to see how they worked. The other month I ran out of my other eyeliner so picked this up and for the small price of £3! It's great with the easy application and the colour it gives. The only downside is it isn't waterproof meaning if my eyes water it will begin to  rub off. However it still lasts a long time and does the job for the price is costs.

Real Techniques Contour Brush

Real Techniques Contour Brush

The next product is the real techniques contour brush. I've been really enjoying using this lately to blend my under eye concealer. It's the perfect size to fit the area under the eyes and blends in really easily. Also it's such a soft brush meaning it's not too harsh on a sensitive area of the face. Even though I love it to contour with too, I prefer using it as a concealer brush.

Blueberry Lip Butter by The Body Shop

I've been using this every night before I go to bed to moisturise my lips. First of all, I have to say it has the most beautiful smell, one of the reasons I bought it! The smell makes you want to eat it! The consistency is very creamy and it's lovely when applied to the lips, another favourite of mine from The Body Shop.

no7 cleanser

No7 cleanser

The next product is a No7 cleanser. I've been using this for the past couple of weeks and I've fallen in love with it. To apply you rub it in the cleanser in circular motions then hold a warm muslin cloth over your face to open up the pores and wipe the rest of the cleanser away. When taken off it leaves the skin feeling fresh and cleaned. It has a lovely smell but isn't too perfumed as the product is really gentle on the skin. As it was the first hot cloth cleanser I've tried I'm really impressed!

Herbal Essences Hair Mask

I've been using this for a while now and put it on once or twice a week. After rinsing when it's been left on for five minutes, my hair feels really silky and shiny as well as having a lovely smell. The consistency is like a thick conditioner and has made a difference to my hair. When I've used this the results make my hair look a lot silkier and healthier.

That was all my favourites, I hope you enjoyed it!
