June favourites

Well hello to you my reader chums! Now we're coming into the end of June, it's the perfect moment to share what I've been loving through this very hectic and exciting month! As I've had a lot of big and special times, the month has passed very quickly and therefore I'm going to move swiftly onto my favourites.

Whether you're in need of some fab matte lipsticks or a neutral eye shadow palette, here are my June favourites.

June beauty favourites

Urban Decay's Naked 2 basics palette

I've put this into my monthly favourites as I've gotten a lot of use out of it and have especially been enjoying the shades 'cover' and 'frisk'. 'Frisk has been the perfect eyebrow shade because it's a matte taupe brown which matches with my natural colour very well. 'Cover' I have been using quite frequently for the outer corner, to darken and add definition to the crease.

Varying for a range of looks, the whole palette is easy compact and has a beautiful range of blendable colours.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in the shade 'Ivory'

After hearing many amazing good reviews on this product, I finally got round to buying it. I wasn't sure what to expect in comparison to my usual collection concealer, however I've found to keep reaching for this in my morning routine. When applied, the consistency is quite light, yet after its blended, it gives such a brightening effect under the eyes. As it has a lighter coverage, I've preferred to use it for under my eyes rather than on blemishes.

Revlon's matte balm range

Moving on to lip products, there's two I've been obsessing over, both from the Revlon matte balm range - 'Audacious' and 'Sultry'. Applied like a usual lip balm, they're a dream on the lips, lasting for ages without any lip liner or preparation needed. 'Sultry', is one I've been wearing when I wanted something a bit more different and darker than your usual pink lip. 'Audacious', was a real winner on holiday because it's a lovely bright orange, that really complimented my tan.

Garnier's Ultimate Blends

I bought this just before holiday as it works as a heat defence and an oil, meaning I only had to bring one product instead of two. I'd apply this to the hair when its damp after washing it, before styling and after it's all complete. By doing this I found my hair felt silkier and smelt gorgeous; I love the scent of this oil.

Gel nails

Instead of an actual nail polish favourite this month, I have been enjoying gel nails. I first got these done for holiday as a treat for myself and as it was my birthday coming up when I arrived home, I got them done again. Even though it's a bit pricier to get your nails done every couple of weeks, rather than painting them, it's a lot less hassle and the polish actually lasts for me! Currently it's a definite obsession, where my nails are a pretty bright blue colour, perfect for this summer season.

Life moments

My last favourite is simply my life. This may sound like a really strange thing to include in a favourite post, however lately I've been really grateful for absolutely everything I've been doing. As I previously mentioned, June has been very hectic, I've been lucky enough to go on holiday with my best friends, attended LouiseLive, celebrated my birthday, all among many other exciting things. Despite the craziness of all these different events, I've had the chance to spend quality time with friends and family, something you can't put a price on. I'm really going to look back at this past month, as the memories will stay in my heart forever.

I hope you enjoyed my June favourites. What have you been loving this month?

LouiseLive with chummy - My thoughts ❤️

Well hello to you my reader chums! On the Saturday just gone, I was lucky to attend the last show of the LouiseLive tour by an inspiring lady, Louise Pentland aka Sprinkleofglitter. Being the day before my birthday, it was such an amazing way to kick start it! On Saturday morning, chummy and I headed to London for a quick detour trip to Convent Garden ( where I made a splurge in Mac), enjoyed a scrummy lunch and then headed to the theatre buzzing with excitement for LouiseLive!

Here's us on the train journey above.
Once we entered the theatre, all the decoration was typical Louise with bursts of pink everywhere, that screamed cuteness! When buying the tickets, I just missed out on V.I.P, however I was lucky enough to get seats in row C which was extremely close to the front.
All audience members received a signed card on our chairs, which was a lovely touch, as you can see above.
As you can imagine, when Louise came on stage the crowd went wild, with Louise presenting herself amazingly straight away. She began with an array of jokes, where the continuous laughter didn't end, at moments I was genuinely crying from her funny stories and sarcastic comments (mainly about Jack).
I knew from her videos and for watching her for several years how funny and bubbly her personality would be, yet the show was amplified even more with it being very upbeat the whole way through. I was constantly engaged and the whole thing was thought out making every detail just fabulous- I loved it. For the Q &A's, she brought people on stage and gave them the chance of having a conversation with her, which was lovely. Another unique point was when she called people out from the crowd, making everyone in the room feel included and like they were all getting special treatment. I even got a happy birthday shout out when she asked if anyone had any birthday's coming up. This for me, was a highlight moment because after watching her for a couple of years, I had the chance of actually speaking to Louise herself.

Another segment towards the beginning, was when all the crowd had to shout out a saying from three of her best friends - my group was the Hazel Hayes one!

When there was the second Q&A for the under 16s, Dean Dobbs was called up as a joke which made it even more funny!

The last part of the show was the most serious and inspiring section. It was all about body confidence, an area which has taken a while for me to overcome. Louise basically got everyone to stand up and stay standing if they've ever said or felt bad about their appearance over a certain amount of time. She started at a year period and then went to the current day, where the majority of the audience were still standing. At this point, I felt so emotional as mostly everyone including myself had felt bad about themselves in some way. She then got us to look around the theatre and raise our hands if anyone looked bad or ugly, which resulted in nobody raising their hands. The overall point being, that we treat ourselves harshly on how we look than what strangers that we've never met will. What I took from this was, every little flaw I have is okay and its okay to have a bad hair day or for my makeup not to be perfect because we're all beautiful individuals and nobody else in the world is like us. I felt so inspired and uplifted leaving that theatre, like a small weight had been lifted off my shoulders, I can't even explain to you how much it meant to me seeing one of my idols live and for her to touch me in such a way. Over the growth I've had in my self confidence through the past year, just hearing Louise say those lovely words of wisdom made me feel much happier about myself.

I got the chance of meeting Jack Howard and Lily Pebbles as a few of Louise's friends were at the show!

Overall, I'd say what an absolute incredible show with comedy, humour and inspirational tips intertwined into one! Thank you for making me feel included, inspired, for the genuine tears of laughter Louise and for all those years where you've made me smile! Congratulations on such a fabulous tour!

Summer holiday lookbook

Well hello to you my reader chums! If you saw my previous post, you'd know I went away on holiday to Chania in Crete. Beforehand I went on a few shopping trips picking out clothes to wear whilst away (I may have overpacked a little) and therefore took a lot of outfits, in order to share a look book for you guys. I've never done a look book before and since I loved the clothes I bought, I thought it'll be the perfect time to style and present one.

Outfit #1: Striped crop top and high waisted shorts

For the first day, I wanted to embrace the warm weather and wore a very casual outfit. I chose this halter neck, stripy crop top and high waisted shorts with sandals.

Chania, Crete 2015 ❤️

Well hello to you my reader chums and long time no see! If you read my last post you'd know I haven't been uploading for the past few weeks as I was away on holiday. I went to a beautiful place, Chania on the island of Crete with my twin Maria and best friends Danielle and Chloe. After months of planning, we couldn't wait to set off and enjoy ourselves! The holiday as a whole didn't disappoint in the slightest and couldn't have been more perfect. We took part in plenty of activities, tried many amazing dishes, soaked up the warm sunshine and shared endless jokes and laughter. As a friendship group, this break brought us even closer and I'm so happy I had the chance of going on my first girls holiday with my favourite people. Now the holiday is over I know it's something we'll always look back on.

Here's a look at my 10 days in Chania, Crete...

On our first day we ventured into the town where we went on a sight seeing tour, checked out the gorgeous harbour and ate at a scrumptious Greek restaurant at lunch time. Afterwards we headed to the hotel for a swim and had dinner - a perfect relaxing yet insightful start to the vacation!
Danielle and I, then below us all in the restaurant:
The second day we had a look at the shops in Chania, relaxed on the beach and headed out to the harbour in the evening for a delicious meal! I chose one of my favourite Greek dishes patisito, which was absolutely amazing and we even received complimentary cocktails and desserts, what a lovely treat! I think the restaurant was called Gallipo and it was my top places we visited whilst away - such lovely service and food.
Here's us in the restaurant:
With the harbour all lit up under the nights sky, this is one of my top pictures:
On the next day we went to Limnoupolis water park! It was such a fun experience full of slides, swimming and laughs, I genuinely loved it!
The following day we went on a boat trip where we got to see the most picturesque scenery and the girls had the chance to go snorkelling ( I chickened out). Beforehand we also had a little browse in a Greek market which was ever so lovely.

That evening we headed out for cocktails and absorbed some of the Greek nightlife:
The next day was rather thrilling as we chose to go on a Segway tour! I was very nervous at first but once I got into the knack of it, I had so much fun:

We then had another long swim in the pool:
Saturday was a very chilled day where we just hung back at our apartments and then glammed ourselves up for an evening meal:
Another lovely day was going to Elafonissi which is known for its pink sands. Despite the initial cloudy weather on the journey to the beach, once we arrived it was ever so sunny and we got the chance to snorkel and swim with the fishes which I thoroughly adored. Their sea is definitely much clearer than ours in the UK!
Monday we spent down town and in the evening attended a traditional Greek BBQ! It was full of luscious food and Greek dancing which was such a laugh to join in with!
The last full day we spent down the harbour like usual souvenir shopping and even went on a horse & carriage ride (yes I got very excited as I felt like a real life Disney princess haha!) Then appreciated our last swim in the pool and got all dressed up for our final meal!
One of my favourite pictures with Danielle:
This one always makes me smile:
My favourite picture of my 3 best friends and I:

The staff at our apartments (Frida apartments) and restaurant/ bar were honestly so lovely and friendly to us whilst on our stay. They made you feel at home and part of the family:

I hope you enjoyed this very photo filled post! I just want to say a big thank you to my best friends for truly making this a trip of a lifetime, continuously being there and always making me smile! Here's to many more exciting memories with my them!
