Well hello to you my reader chums! When it come to this time of year, I can't help but dream of summer, with beach days, ice cream galore and cute bikinis. As soon as UK swimwear got in touch asking if I'd like to review a bikini, I couldn't jump at the chance quick enough. I'm a travel addict and beach baby so a bikini always comes in handy - plus when it's as beautiful as this, it really helps boost your body confidence that little bit more.

Well hello to you my reader chums! With the scorching summer sunshine, blue skies and sophisticated edge, when in Rome, I put together some of my favourite outfits to wear. As I only went for 3 days, I planned in advance my everyday choices which made it easier to get ready before leaving the hotel! Pinafores and dunagrees became my best friend because not only were they comfortable and easy to slip on but looked stylish at the same time! The weather was very humid and the outfits I chose seemed to be the perfect choice - light, airy and pretty for all my photo memories.

Well hello to you my reader chums! Beach days, BBQs, picnics and adventures, summer is the time to let your hair down and embrace the incredible sunshine. When the weather is at its warmest, the last thing you want to be worrying about makeup, layering it up or ensuring it looks good. In the heat, it's likely to melt off so I find the lighter weight the better, giving you the added coverage you desire without caking up the skin.

Here's a look at all the products I use:

For an everyday look in summer time, I use these products as a basis, either adding to them for an evening out, only wearing the bare essentials or simply naked skin for beach days with a lick of mascara; it varies.

Base

L'oreal's Infallible primer - To keep the shine at bay in the scorching heat, I find a face primer to be my best friend especially my favourite L'oreal one. With the matte finish it achieves, not only does makeup cling to the skin but it miraculously prevents any oiliness from coming through; a must for sweat proof makeup.

Maybelline's BB cream - I'm a top fan of BB creams and will rave about them all day long! My favourite has to be Maybelline's 'Dream Fresh' because it offers the lightest coverage, dewy finish and has the important SPF factor, a necessity when the sun is at its brightest. I love how it gives a bit of something to the skin without feeling heavy or looking too over the top.

Rimmel's Wake me up concealer - This is the best concealer for everyday use especially in summer time as even though the coverage is buildable, the consistency is very light so doesn't feel like too much product on the skin when applied. I especially love it's brightening power, giving some oomph to your under eye bags.

Rimmel's Stay Matte powder - The holy grail of face powders, I can't finish off my base without dusting this all over the skin. It helps keep the skin matte ands that extra bit of coverage to the light base.

Contour and highlight

Sleek's face form palette in 'Light'- I tend to keep contour quite subtle in the summer months, to look more like a bronzed glow instead of full on chiselled cheek bones. Even though this palette is perfect for achieving both types of makeup looks, I've been loving it for a subtle contour and overall bronze as I find the bronzer to be the perfect colour.

Benefit's high beam - The sun is bright and so is my highlight! 'Highbeam' is a cream consistency, ideal for applying in this weather as it leaves a dewy, natural finish that when hits the light looks incredible.

Eyes

Maybelline's Lash sensational mascara - On super summer days, I apply a couple of coats of mascara to open up the eyes; very simple indeed. As an eye shadow lover, I do also wear a variety of different shades in the summer time just not in this look!

Lips

Nyx's matte lip cream in 'Stockholm' - With a quick easy makeup look, comes a natural, beautiful lip. I opted for my favourite product at the minute, Nyx's 'Stockholm' matte lip cream. The colour is a dusky pink, brown, it's consistency is ultra creamy yet sets completely matte and wears extremely well; the best option for a summers day.

Well hello to you my reader chums! On the Monday just gone, my twin Maria and I headed up to London for a day of pampering. For our birthday ( which we had the week previously), we thought instead of buying presents for one another, an experience would be much more enjoyable. Neither of us have ever had a makeover/photoshoot together before and therefore thought it'll be a lovely thing to do, something we'll cherish forever. 

The photoshoot/makeover experience, we booked quite a bit in advance. Since it was summer and a few weeks after the holiday, we chose a selection of our favourite summer clothes to wear, up to four/five outfit changes. Once entering the studio, we were offered drinks, where the lady went through the agenda for the day and then had our makeup done. I asked for quite a typical me look consisting of winged liner, a lot of bronzer and of course a very glamorous red lip. The makeup artist used a lot of cream products on my skin so it was much heavier than the usual makeup I wear, however once captured on camera it made my skin look flawless. My twin Maria chose a more natural look, resulting in an ultra glowy, pretty finish. I found the makeover section really insightful as I loved seeing what products were used and the different methods of applying them. Both of us for hair chose lose waves, which I absolutely adored! After all the pampering was complete, the photo taking commenced! We got to choose what outfits to wear and our photographer then picked the background to use. Every backdrop and photo change, she gave us the chance for individual, group shots and guided us by suggesting what poses to use, where to stand etc. As our photographer was super lovely, the whole experience was made really fun and we felt comfortable/relaxed when posing. Following the completion of the day we selected and bought a total of 22 pictures out of the many taken. Despite the excessive cost of the shoot, we now own a selection of memorable images to keep and look back on through the years. Also Maria aspires to be a model, meaning all the pictures we have can be used as part of her portfolio.

Well hello to you my reader chums! Today I have a good old clothing haul to share with you. Yesterday I went on a shopping trip with my best friend to help me pick out items for the holiday we're going on in the upcoming month. There were still some things missing that I hadn't got for the trip and I took full advantage of buying the bulk yesterday, in the trusty Primark! I got 2 things in other shops, however the majority is from Primark!

 Lets get into the haul:

I already have a couple of bikinis, however I wanted to get 3 in total since most of the holiday will be spent near the beach and pool. I would never of thought to look in Sports Direct for swimwear, however Danielle suggested it and we went to have a gander. To my surprise we found the cutest, blue gingham bikini from the brand 'SoulCal & Co' which is stocked in the store Republic. I absolutely adore the print, fit and colour of this and can't wait to get lots of wear out of it! There was also 50% off, meaning I got it for around £13!
