I heart summer tag!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums!

Another tag for you readers today! I was tagged by Mel on Its me Mel, go check out her blog, its really cute! Here are the questions:

1. Favourite bronzer for summer?
Hmm as a beauty blogger I should really own a bronzer but I'm more of a blusher kind of girl. However I have heard so many great reviews on the Bourjous chocolate box bronzer and would love to get my hands on it!
2. You're relaxing on a hammock in a tropical island, what would you be sipping on?
Oooh that's a tricky one, probably something like lemonade with ice because its really refreshing and lemonade is one of my favourite drinks!
3. Favourite summer lipstick?
I'm not really a lipstick kind of person, I go for more bold eyes and nude lips. However for summer I think lip tints and stains are an essential to have as you want the colour to stay on for a long time! I'm loving the MUA chubby sticks/lips tints, here's my review on them if you want to check it out. Also in summer I tend to just go for just a lip balm if I don't want to put any colour on my lips, I like to use cocoa butter because it has SPF in and its really moisturising for the lips.
4. Pool or beach?
Beach all the way! As I live by the coast I tend to go to the beach a lot in the summer time and I absolutely love it! Its just a lovely place to hang with friends, chat, relax and have a dip in the sea if you're brave enough!
5. Summer = crazy hair, what's your must have styling product?
I'm lucky to say my hair doesn't go that crazy in the summer! I would say though to give your a hair some texture in the summer you could  use a salt spray which will give it a beachy kind of look.
6. Sunbathing or fake tanning?
Sunbathing, I'm not a huge fan of fake tan, in my opinion its just hassle to get one done and I'd rather have a natural glow from the sun, even though its hard sometimes to catch a tan here in England!
7. Favourite summer nail polish?
Oooh I love nail polish in the summer time! I like to go for more of a bold colour because I think it finishes off the whole outfit and adds that pop of colour! The colour for summer time to me is a lovely coral, for some reason it just screams summer!
8. Any summer traditions?
I don't think I actually have any summer traditions, I suppose just spending loads of times with family and friends if that counts?
9. Favourite summer scent?
I love quite girly and sweet scents for the summer, at the moment I'm loving charlie shimmer body spray.
10. Favourite BBQ food?
I absolutely love BBQs! I would say my favourite BBQ food is hot dogs because I'm not a burger fan if I'm honest.
11. Favourite summer proof makeup?
My favourite summer proof makeup would be waterproof mascara because its essential in my opinion, especially if you likely to spend the majority of the summer down the beach like me! The mascara I would recommend is the falsies in waterproof by maybelline.
12. Any summer vacations planned?
Not this year I'm afraid.. Luckily my auntie and cousins are coming down from Greece whom I haven't seen in years, ahh I'm really excited! I'll be doing loads of things with them this summer, like outings to the beach, pool, theme parks etc!

Liebster award again!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums!

I have already done a post on this which you can check out here. I have been nominated two more times so I guess I'd do another post on it! The idea of this tag is to nominate 11 bloggers who have under 200 followers and ask them 11 questions. They then have to answer those questions and nominate up to 11 other bloggers!

Here are the first set of questions asked by Little Gingee:

1.Do you play an instrument? No I don't play an instrument but I used to play recorder in primary school if that counts!
2.What is your favourite make up brand? Oooh this is a hard one, I'd have to say maybelline as the few products I own of them, I absolutely love! Although MUA is also an amazing brand because its such good quality for the price that it costs!
3.Where do you want to see yourself in 3yrs time? Hmm in three years time I'd be 20 so hopefully working towards pursuing my make up artist dream.
4. Have you ever met anyone famous? I've never met anyone really famous, but I've met like famous-ish sport stars in primary school. However I did go to the kids choice awards when I was eleven and high-fived Josh from Drake and Josh!
5. Who inspires you? My inspiration is Talia Castellano, she has made me realise my dream of being a make up artist and to just keep swimming when things get hard. I've done a blog post tribute for her as she sadly passed away last week, here it is. I would say my other inspirations are One Direction and Miranda Hart because I'm such huge fans of theirs and they always make me smile.
6. A Random fact? I have a twin sister who I'm eight minute older than.
7.What is your favourite flower? I love Daisy's, even the name Daisy! I also love roses!
8. Favourite band? One Direction all the way!
9. Where is your favourite place to visit? I love visiting Greece, I've been there a few times because my auntie, uncle and cousins live out there. It's absolutely beautiful out there and the food is delicious!
10. What is your favourite Drugstore foundation? Umm I'm not really a foundation person, more of a concealer, powder type of gal, but I've heard so many people rave about Rimmel's wake me up foundation, so it would be that!
11.How long have you had your blog for? I began my blog in April this year and I can't believe that I'm at 40 followers!

The second person who tagged me was Annie and here are her questions:
1. If a pizza is round why is a pizza box square? Umm to confuse the customers? ;)
2. Why do they call it a 'drive-thru' if you stop? As when you receive the food you drive away happy!
3. Why do we say our alarm is going off when actually its coming on? Because we  don't want it to go off so we don't have to wake up early! ;)
4. Sum up your blog in one word: Oooh that's really hard, umm I'll say unique :)
5. If there was an Earthquake on Mars, what would it be called? A Marsquake
6. If you could have unlimited anything what would it be? Umm that's hard probably money because then you could buy everything and everything else would be unlimited too!
7. What career would you like in the future? I would love to be a make up artist or to inspire people in some way.
8. If you had to wear one nail polish for the rest of your life, which one would you choose? That's a difficult one, it would probably be either purple or blue as that's what my nail polish collection mainly consists of, due to them being my fave colours! I think it would be have to be a Barry M one as I love that brand!
9. What would you do if you missed a bus? Get a later one?
10. Have you ever broken a bone in your body? (explain) Yes I've broken my left shoulder before, one of the most painful things ever! I was round a friends house for a party and the decking was wet so I accidentally slipped and fell on it! :(
11. What's your future plans for your blog? Hmm I think to keep going with regular posts on beauty and just other general things and maybe give it a makeover with all my links to other social sites! I would also love to have a bigger audience, but I am so thankful for all my followers, it means a lot that they have taken to time to read and follow my blog!

I hope you enjoyed all my answers now here's my questions:
1) What is the strangest food combination you've tried that you love?
2) What's your most precious thing you own?
3) Have you ever been on the television?
4) What's your favourite animal?
5) If you could bring someone back to life, who would it be?
6) Do you have a weird talent?
7) What is your essential make up product?
8) If you could meet anyone in the world who would it be?
9) Who or what can cheer you up when your down?
10) Whats your favourite blog that you read?
11) What's your guilty pleasure?

I nominate these blogs:

Life's unexpected moments!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums! Hope you are all well and for all you English people, I hope your enjoying our little heat wave we have going on here!

Today, I thought I'd do a little post about my life instead of the usual beauty things, etc etc. As you could tell by the title, don't you just love all those unexpected moments when your original plans don't go ahead?! Well today, I planned to go to the cinema to see monsters inc university with the besties, however when we arrived, we realised it was sold out. Originally we were going to head to the beach when the film finished as we found out a few of our friends would be there. As a result of the film being sold out, we went to  our friend Callan's where we had some laughs on the x box and then we all went to the beach! Here's a few pics of my day:

Be beautiful you!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums!

For today's blog I decided to more of a serious one, discussing this vision of 'beauty' society has. Surrounding us we have these constant images in magazines or on TV of all these stick thin celebrities and how 'perfect' they all are. These constant images cause normal teenagers to put themselves down as they're too 'fat' or 'ugly' or don't fit this 'perfect' image. I hate how companies promote that we should all have this stick thin figure in order to look beautiful because that's not the case, every size is beautiful. A number on the scales does not determine if you're beautiful or not. We were all made different shapes and sizes for a reason, to be unique and our own person. There is no point in having copies of everyone or we'll all be like robots. A thigh gap or your ribs being shown isn't needed to be perfect. Perfection isn't real, everybody has their flaws and what you need to do is embrace them.

Words hurt okay. Whenever you brand someone with a name like 'fat' or 'ugly' even if your joking, it stays with them, those words could make them think they are not good enough and lead to things such as suicide or depression. Think before you speak, never put anyone down. If somebody has ever said anything to make you feel down on yourself, ignore it, you are good enough and you are beautiful. Don't let the bullies win and see that you're weak, stay strong and rise above them, they are just jealous and think by putting you down it will make them feel better about themselves. Something you should do is keep positive if you are feeling bad about yourself, positive thinking is the way forward! This is something I've done recently as my friend suggested, is every night think about something good about your day, it could be the weather, where you've been, who you saw, if you liked your hair etc. Just something happy about your day so you'll be in a happy state of mind before bed.

Believe in yourself! Stop doubting your abilities, it'll just bring you down even more. If you have a career you want to pursue go for it and do what makes you happy. Embrace those flaws that you have and keep smiling!

A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear! <3

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed, stay strong and be beautiful you! <3

MUA Lip tint and balm review!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums!

Haven't posted this week at all, ooops! I've decided to do a review on some of the products I recently received in my MUA goodie bag, they are the two chubby sticks/lip tints.

The colours I received are crazy in love and broken hearted.
Here are the swatches.
I'm in love with these lip tints, they have such a lovely feel when applied to the lips and are really moisturising. Both colours are very pigmented and would look good if you would like to go for a bold lip with more natural eyes.
Broken hearted on lips.

Crazy in love on lips.
These pictures don't do the balms justice as when they are applied to the lips they come up much darker, I would say broken hearted is more of a subtle everyday colour in comparison to crazy in love, yet I still love both colours! The consistency of the tints are quite watery and they do come off after an hour or so, but I think for the price they cost and for them just being tints and not stains, these really are good lip products! Perfect for summer! They're around £3 which is a bargain in my opinion, would definitely go out and re-purchase these!
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! I just started an instagram because I recieved my new phone so if you would like to follow its: dellaaaaxx

Room by Emma Donoghue book review!

Well hello to you my fellow book loving chums!

Apologies for the lack of blogs! Today I thought I'd do a book review on a recent book that I have read, its called Room.

Room is written from a child's perspective, whose name is Jack. As its from his view the sentences aren't grammatically correct at times and the objects are personified, which I found intriguing in the novel as its an unusual writing style. The use of a child's perspective helps give an insight of a child's way of seeing things and helps explain the situation better in my opinion. This view makes the novel, it really helps build your imagination by imagining how Jack sees this room, the room his been living in his whole life. It makes you feel the emotion and torment between the characters and really feel their fear.
Room is definitely one of those novels that you have to keep reading and reading to find out what happens next. The author has written it so it keeps the reader interested and leaves them in suspense in what happens, which really builds the tension and adds a dramatic aspect. The book also has a really emotional side and makes your heart break at times with what the characters go through, it gives you a real awareness in what happens in kidnapping cases which really appealed to me because its not one of those things you encounter on a day to day basis.

This book is a definite recommend, it really keeps you on your toes and wondering what happens next. The relationship between Ma and Jack is so loving, that you'll want to go and help them yourself. Its one of those novels that really draw you in and pull on the heart strings! I'd give it five stars, if your interested in tales from a child perspective or emotional/dramatic novels this book is for you!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! <3

June favourites!

Well hello to you my fellow reader chums!

It come to that time again where another month is over meaning favourites time, yay! I can't believe were already in July, this year has gone so quickly, its unbelievable! June was such a hectic month for me, through moving and many other things that went on! Here's all my beauty favourites:

I've been loving all of these this month!
The first product is the MUA blush in shade 1. This month this has definitely been part of my everyday look, its such a light colour, which gives a lovely glow to the cheek bones because even though the product is quite pigmented, when blended in it looks quite subtle.

The next product is collection extreme felt tip liner. I love this liner, its so easy to work with and easy to glide on for the perfect wing look! I've used this everyday for a while now and its such a bargain, think it only cost me £3!

The next product is the Garnier moisture match moisturiser. I really love this moisturiser, it makes the skin feel really nourished and refreshed, if you want to check out my full review on it you can here.

My favourite nail polish of this month is Barry M's in the shade berry. Its such a lovely pastel colour for this time of year and really gets me in the summery mood!

My favourite hair care product this month is the herbal essences hello hydration hair mask. The mask leaves my hair feeling softer and more hydrated as it says, it has a lovely smell and texture!
My last product is lip butter I purchased from the body shop. I actually fell in love with this, it has the yummiest smell just like chocolate biscuits! Every time I use it, my lips feel so much softer, a definite recommend! I'm a huge fan of the body shop and this totally lived up to my expectations and for £4 where can you go wrong?
