Well hello to you my reader chums!

As I missed week one of the #BritishBloggerSelection, I'm moving swiftly on to week 2! This week is a Q&A so hopefully this will help you learn more about all the other bloggers and I ! :)



Question one: Why do like blogging?
I like blogging because its a space where I can write down all my thoughts and ideas on products I've been loving or just anything in general. I've always loved writing and creating a blog gave me an opportunity to write again in my spare time. Whenever I blog, it makes me feel happy and always makes me smile, the blogging community is just an amazing place! Bit cheesy but its true :)
 
Question 2: How did you come up with your blog name?
Oooh this is a hard one! I have no idea, I think the name DellaLovesNutella,I just thought of one day and it just stuck in my mind that I thought I should use it for something. After I finally plucked up the courage and started my blog, this is the name I used because I just loved it and nutella is my favourite food.
 
Question 3: Where in the UK are you from?
I'm from Kent, which is in the South East of England.
 
Question 4: Favourite colour:
This definitely has be purple! I've always loved that colour, although when I was little it used to be yellow. Cute story: When my twin sister and I were younger she loved green and I loved yellow so all my things were yellow and hers were green. Then as we grew older my favourite colour was purple and hers was pink meaning the same thing happened!
 
Question 5: Do you like Lana Del Ray?
Hmm never really listened to her music that much to have an opinion. However I do love her song Summertime Sadness!
 
Question 6: Hidden talents that you have?
I'm not really sure if I have any hidden talents, however I get a lot of compliments on my make up by people so I guess that but its not really a hidden one.
 
Question 7: Celebrity crush?
Oooh Harry Styles and George Shelley! I'm a huge directioner and Jcat! Also I'm in love with Alfie from Pointlessblog.
 
Question 8: Favourite blog of all time?
Zoella and Sprinkleofglitter! Both of them were the reason I got into blogging.
 
Question 9: What made you want to join #BritishBloggerSelection?
I wanted to join because it would give me the chance to read even more blogs from the blogger community and find out about other bloggers.

October favourites

Well hello to you my reader chums! Time is flying by and another month over means, another favourites post. I've been loving quite a few products this past month and here is a look at my favourite things.

Real Techniques blusher brush

Real Techniques Blusher Brush

I do usually use it for blusher as its really easy to apply with. However, this month I've been using it to contour with and I'm loving it for that job. Even with the softest of strokes, it applies the bronzer really easily. Would definitely recommend this brush if you're looking for the perfect light contour brush or a versatile cheek brush.

L'oreal skin perfection cleanser

L'oreal Skin Perfection Toner 

I picked this up because I was on the hunt to try out a new toner and after a couple of uses, I fell in love with this product. Every time I use it, day and night, my skin feels instantly refreshed and it actually feels as if it's making a difference to my skin, which other toners lack. It leaves my skin feeling ultra-soft. At only £4, the toner is an affordable price and of great quality.

 I love wearing darker shades in the autumn month to match my clothing palette. BarryM polishes are my favourite and this one lives up to par as the wearing power is strong, the colour opaque and it applies beautifully.

Bourjois Chocolate box bronzer

Bourjouis Chocolate Box Bronzer 

 As its autumn time, I wanted to use a bronzer which will warm my skin up as I look paler in the colder weather due to my tan fading. Therefore, I've been loving this to give my face a bronzy glow this month. It's a nice bronzer for a light contour and all over bronze, but due to its underlying orange tones, I wouldn't recommend applying too much product.

Bourjois Liquid Eye Liner

This jet black eyeliner is incredible and is the perfect, opaque colour. The felt tip applicator makes it easy to apply and the lasting power is all day. The pigmentation gives a very sophisticated look due to it being true to the colour. If you want a good drugstore eyeliner, this is the one for you.

Charlie Perfume 

I got this a while ago but have been using it a lot recently. I absolutely adore the smell of this, it's a stronger version of the body spray, with this lovely elegant, musky smell. Surprisingly this perfume lasts a long time.

New Look Khaki Jacket

This jacket has been a necessity this month with the weather getting chillier, meaning I needed something to throw on which isn't too heavy. Also, khaki is a big autumn colour for me, I just love this coat, it's not too heavy and is very versatile.

Recipe: Nutella hot chocolate ❤

Well hello to you my reader chums! I've realised since I've had a blog called dellalovesnutella, that I've never done a post related to Nutella! Today, I decided to show you one of my favourite autumnal/winter drinks: Nutella hot chocolate! 
Ingredients you'll need: 

The first step is heating the milk in a pan, for one portion measure out a mug full of milk. Pout that in the pan and heat it on a low/medium heat.
(I've put two mug fulls in here as I was making two portions) 
The next step when the milk is fully heated is to add in the Nutella. I'd use between two to three large teaspoons of Nutella depending on how rich you would like it and mix it into the milk. 
Once mixed in, the colour of the milk should appear a light brown. The last step is to add in a pinch of cinnamon which will give it an extra oomph and mix that in.

Review: MUA blushes + swatches

Well hello to you my reader chums! 

Got a review for you today! I recieved these MUA blushes when I won the goodie bag a couple of months back, they were new out at the time.
I love the fact they've named the shades now!
These ones are marshmallow and bubblegum, such cute names! 
Here's the swatches of them. As you can tell the blushes are highly pigmented with one swipe giving you a good load of colour. Having such  high pigmented blushes means it requires a lot of blending to make them look natural. 
Here's what they look like blended. I love the finish of these with them giving a lovely glow. Bubblegum is a more red toned blush in comparison to marshmallow which is a baby pink. I think bubble gum would be lovely for the autumn months as its a warmer shade. 

Compared to the old MUA blush packaging, I much prefer this one. It's easier to open because it has a little circular hole to open it. Also I think as its black and thinner, it looks more sleek and expensive.

I would say the products last for the majority of the day but would have to be reapplied later on.

As usual, I've been thoroughly impressed with the MUA products. These blushes are amazing quality for the price they cost. The pigmentation is beautiful, giving a lovely look when blended, a definite recommend.

September favourites!

Well hello to you my reader chums!

Again another month has ended! Where did September go?! I have idea what made this month go so quickly, I think it's the fact of going back to school and getting into the routine again. Here are the things I've been loving this month:
The first thing is the radox berry burst shower gel. I heard about this through one of Fleur's videos and when I was in the supermarket I'd thought I'd give it a go! Not going to lie but this shower gel is amazing, it smells of cherryade! I fell in love with it after the first use, you just want to keep sniffing it, it smells that yummy! 

The next product is the John Frieda sheer blonde colour renew shampoo. If you've been following my blog, you'd know I recently had my hair ombréd. Therefore I thought I'd better go out and purchase a purple shampoo because it tones the colour and gets rid of the brassy tones. This shampoo works a treat, I noticed the change after the first use! It really helps being out the blonde even more! For the best results I would say use it up to 3 times a week to help your ombre stay blonde. For a little bonus it does have the nicest smell which lingers on the hair after use. The shampoo cost around £6 which is a bit pricey for shampoo however in my opinion I say it's totally worth it, a definite recommend. 
The next product is baby lips by maybelline in peach kiss. As you all probably know baby lips finally came to the uk the other month and I just had to get my hands on one! I chose peach kiss purely for the purple packaging as its my favourite colour! I'm not usually a fan of peach flavoured things, but the scent of this is lovely, very refreshing. The balm itself definitely lived up to expectations because it really moisturises the lips and makes them soft. I think baby lips was a huge essential this month because the weathers getting colder meaning lips get chapped etc. 
One of my favourite nail polishes of the month has to be the maybelline gel colours in surreal. It's a light pretty indigo colour. I was a little sceptical at first when it says lasting for 7 days as that's hard to find in a nail polish. However I was amazed after about 6/7 days there was only minor chips which I would usually expect after 3/4 days with other nail polishes. Which means by the end of the week my nails were still in good condition, very impressed I must say!

My other favourite nail polish is Barry m in the shade bright purple. I've loved this for a very long time. I think it's probably one of my most worn polishes! As its autumn now I thought I'd get this out because its the season where I start to wear darker shades. Like usual Barry m lasts for about 5/6 days and the colour is beautiful. 

The last product is a cream blush in morning dew by topshop. I've already done a review on this which you can check out here if you like and featured it in a tutorial here. To sum it up, this blush is a lovely day to day natural blush which gives a nice flush of colour to the face. 

My music favourite of the month has to be Beautiful Life by Union J. As soon as I heard it, I fell in love with it, it's such an inspiring song! The message behind it is really touching and I've honestly had it on repeat ever since it came out!

Autumn/fall make up tutorial ❤

Well hello to you my reader chums! 

Today I'd thought I would share my autumn/fall make up look that I like to wear as we've just come into the autumn season! 
Here's a before and after shot, I'll now tell you how to achieve this look :)
These are all the products I used! 
First thing I do is put the collections lasting perfection concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes and then blend it in with my fingers. I then set that with the Rimmel match perfection powder in ivory and real techniques powder brush which gives you that extra bit of coverage. The blush I use for this look is the topshop blush in morning dew which gives you a lovely flush of colour to your cheeks in this fall season. It's quick and easy as you just dab and blend it into your cheeks. 

Now the face is done, I'll move onto the eyes. First thing I do is prime the eye lids and all the way up to the brow bone with the MUA eye primer. For a base I use the subtle creamy colour in the top left corner which goes all over the lid with a base shadow brush by real techniques. I then using the same brush apply the copper colour into the crease and blend it out with the brown colour and a real techniques deluxe crease brush. I then take more of the copper colour on a detailer brush and place under my lower lash line on the outer third.
For highlighting the eyes, I use the creamy shimmery colour on the left for my inner corner/ tear duct area. Fur the brow bone I use the pinky/nude colour as its quite subtle. 

For the brows I use the same colour that I used for blending out in the crease. I think defining the brows really helps shape the face. 
The next step is eye liner. For this look I like a slight winged eye liner, I use the collection felt tip liner for this. Sadly it didn't go too well today. After that I use the white coal liner by MUA on my water line as I find it really opens the eyes. 
Last step for the eyes is mascara. I curl my lashes and apply the falsies by maybelline in waterproof. 
For lips I like to use baby lips as in the colder weather you need something to keep the lips moisturised! The one I have is in peach kiss. 
I then set all the make up with the MUA fixing mist which helps your make up last all day :)

Review: Topshop blush in morning dew + swatches

Well hello to you my reader chums!

I've been really lazy with blogging lately but I'm going to start and get back into the swing of things! Today I thought I'd do a review on a product I have been using a lot lately which is the Topshop cream blush in the shade morning dew.

I first wanted this blush ever since I saw Tanya Burr use it in one of her tutorials, however, my Topshop doesn't stock their makeup range. If you saw my haul post, you'd see that I went to the bigger Topshop near me and was able to finally get my hands on it! 

I'm literally in love with this blush! As soon as I started using it I instantly fell in love with it. Due to it being a cream blush you can just dot it on your cheeks and blend, meaning it's quick in the mornings for school and no hassle of a brush! After applied it gives a subtle pink glow to the cheeks which makes it quite a natural everyday blush.

As you can see when blended it doesn't look too bright and gives a nice glow. The blush also has subtle shimmers in it which aren't too noticeable but add the glow to the cheeks if that makes sense. 

Also, I love the packaging, it's just too cute! I absolutely love dotty things, it's like my favourite pattern! I'd definitely recommend this blush, it's perfect for everyday use, gives a lovely pigment of colour to the cheeks and it was at the affordable price of £6!
