My creative work space | Wework

Well hello to you my reader chums! Today I wanted to talk to you about my working environment, the office space where I spend the majority of my week, honouring the classic 9 to 5 hours. Blogging is my favourite hobby but during the week I work as a social media manager for a travel company. One of the main things I love about the company I work for is our office. My bosses were inspired by Google to make it a fun, free environment, where employees could take breaks here and there to get away from the computer screen, motivating them to work more efficiently.

Our office is pretty large for a small company; on one side we have the marketing/web team area and games room then on the other side there's the sales team, accounts, concierge heading through to our kitchen as well as other mini offices - it's a rather big space. I love how it's an open area so you're able to walk over to each department when needed and I especially adore all the activities we have for breaks.

I'm on the marketing team and next to our desk is our blackboard wall which we fill with any creative ideas we have, drawings or newsworthy things that have been achieved (I've blurred this out). Stood up by the blackboard are a couple of bean bags ( we have a yellow one too) which are there for people to relax if working on a laptop that day or to chill on in their lunch breaks. Joint to the blackboard is a Tardis that leads to our games room!

Once you walk in, laid on the floor is fake grass and our activities: fooseball, ping pong and go karts. There's also a sweet picnic table used mainly in the old office where people ate.

My other favourite part of the office has to be our 50s style diner kitchen. It reminds me of the restaurant Ed's diner because of our red 'booth' style seats and stalls next to the breakfast bar. The kitchen is a very social place, where people gather at lunch to have a good old chat. I love all the detailing my managers thought of when designing it, it makes the whole space even more special.

When it comes to working environments, I have to admit I'm incredibly lucky. Not many companies  give you the freedom to take fun filled breaks playing a game of ping pong or fooseball - It's a fab way to keep the entire team motivated. I find by getting away from my desk for 5-10 minutes can help me feel less stressed or anxious about what I'm doing as it gives me some headspace away.

I teamed up with WeWork for this creative post who've recently launched a couple of London offices. They gave me the idea to share what I love about my working space and how it motivates me, a perfect post when I have so many exciting things to discuss. Their company offers many benefits and discounts for those who freelance, run their own businesses or are looking into creating a start-up business.

I hope you enjoyed this slightly different post having a peak into my office. What's your working space like?

Thank you for reading  <3

  1. Wow! This is the best office ever haha! I can definitely understand how your breaks would help fuel creativity. I'm insanely jealous right now...

  4. Wow, that looks like such a fun and creative space! I work for an accounting firm so as you can imagine, our office is not quite as fun as this haha but I love nosing in on what other offices look like!
